"Bedtime Stories" Shines Spotlight on Foundation's Support of Performing Arts

This weekend's high school winter play, "Bedtime Stories," is the latest show the Foundation has helped make possible through its more than $100,000 support of the performing arts this year. That figure includes $95,000 in program support for the drama program, a $3,166 grant for improvements at the Performing Arts Center, and four $1,000 grants to help fund shows at all three elementary schools and the middle school.

"Bedtime Stories" will be in the Performing Arts Center Thursday and Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm. Thank you to our donors for helping make this production possible. Enjoy the show!

East Grand Rapids High School will perform Bedtime Stories (As Told By Our Dad)(Who Messed Them Up) on January 22-24, 2026

In Bedtime Stories, it's Dad's turn to tell his three rambunctious kids their bedtime stories, but when he gets fuzzy on the details, the classics get creative: a prince with a snoring problem spices up “The Princess and The Pea,” “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” cries dinosaur instead, and “Rumpelstiltskin” helps turn all that pesky gold into straw. You may think you know your fairy tales, but not the way Dad tells them! This fun and silly show is great for the whole family, including young children! If you like Bluey, you'll love Bedtime Stories!

Performances will be in the EGRHS Performing Arts Center at 7:00 p.m. on January 22 and 23 and 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on January 24. Tickets are $8 for students and $12 for adults. Premium seating for $12 (students) and $16 (adults) is also available. All EGRHS and EGRMS students can receive ONE FREE TICKET to any performance (with student ID), courtesy of the EGR Stage Boosters! Doors open 30 minutes prior to the scheduled curtain time. For more information and tickets, visit egrps.org/theatre.

EGRMS Ski/Snowboarding Club

Middle School Ski/Snowboarding Club

The East Grand Rapids Middle School would like to invite all students to join an informal ski club (snowboarders welcome!) at Cannonsburg for the winter of 2025-2026.  Students and ALL family members have the opportunity to purchase discounted lift tickets in the form of a punch card. The cards have other benefits as well!  You may use these tickets ANYtime, but we will also plan to ski on Thursdays from 4:00-5:30. This is a time where students can meet up with their friends; however, students can ski at any time on Thursdays.

Transportation to Cannonsburg will NOT be provided, but we will plan to meet by the fire pits and get kids on the slopes with their friends.  If this sounds like something your child would like to get involved in this school year, please use the sign up steps listed in this link: Ski Club InformationBreanna Probst is the sponsor for the Ski Club.

All participants should also fill out this form so that you’re not left out of any communications.  You can also search Facebook for our group: EGRMS Ski ClubThis Facebook group is private and can be used by anyone to coordinate rides and share pictures.  If you have any questions, please contact the Ski Club advisor, Breanna Probst at bprobst@egrps.org

Day of Caring

EGRMS’s Day of Caring is an annual tradition in which the entire student body provides community service within the greater Grand Rapids area. Over the course of one school day, over 1,300 hours of community service are provided! Additionally, the school partners with one organization to teach students about the importance of volunteer service and to raise money for that organization.

Regatta

Regatta

The EGRMS Regatta is an annual team building event that takes place on Reeds Lake at John Collins Park. Students work in teams to create a boat out of cardboard and duct tape, then compete in a race against other classes. This event serves as the annual fundraiser for the EGRMS PTO.
